Which dishwashers are being recalled?
Approximately 1.3 million Hotpoint®, GE® and GE Profile™, GE Eterna™ and GE Adora™ plastic tub dishwashers with front controls manufactured between March 2006 through July 2006, and November 2006 through April 2008.
Only the units with the following model and serial number combinations are included in this recall:

How do I obtain a free repair?
To determine if your dishwasher is included in the recall and schedule a free repair appointment, visit the GE Dishwasher Recall web page - available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Or you may call the Recall Hotline toll-free at 1-866-918-8760 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday to arrange for a free service call.

How do I obtain a rebate?
As an alternative to a free repair, GE is offering consumers a rebate towards the purchase of certain new GE and Profile brand dishwashers. Consumers can use a rebate of $75 for the purchase of certain GE front-control plastic tub dishwashers, or a rebate of $100 for the purchase of certain GE front-control stainless tub dishwashers or GE Profile top control dishwashers.
New GE dishwasher models eligible for $75 rebate include:
Any GE Brand 24" built in Tall Tub Plastic or Hybrid Stainless interior models*New GE or GE Profile dishwasher models eligible for $100 rebate include:

I live in Canada and have one of the recalled dishwashers. What should I do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dishwashers and contact GE’s Canadian distributor, Mabe Canada toll-free at 1-888-943-5188, or by email at servicerequest@mabe.ca, to schedule a free repair. Before calling, consumers should write down the model and serial number of their dishwasher.
